Microsoft Teams

Masthead utilizes webhooks with Workflows for Microsoft Teams to push alerts to Microsoft Teams channel.

Create integration

To connect Masthead to Microsoft Teams:

1. Click on the More options … to expand the context menu next to the channel you would like to receive alerts.

   

2. Search for “webhook” and select Send webhook alerts to a channel.

   

3. Click Next on the following screen.

   

4. Verify the channel details and click Add workflow.

   

   Note

   The webhook works by default for public and shared channels. If you want to use it in a private channel, you need to install the Workflows app to that channel first. To do this, click on the More options <…> next to the channel name, select Manage team > Apps > More apps and search for “Workflows”. After installing the app, you can proceed with the steps above.

5. Copy the resulting webhook URL into clipboard and click Done.

   

6. In Masthead open the Integrations page and in the Microsoft Teams widget click Connect. Enter the webhook URL copied from the previous step and Save the connection.

Note

If you need to copy the workflow URL again in Microsoft Teams, you’ll be able to find it by opening the Workflows app within Teams, selecting the workflow that was created, selecting Edit, and expanding the trigger “When a Teams webhook request is received”.
