Microsoft Teams

The Masthead Data app for Microsoft Teams delivers incident alerts to your Teams channels and lets your team triage them without leaving Teams: mark an incident as fixed, or mute a table or a pipeline directly from the alert message.

Before you start

Requirement	Details
Masthead account	Access to the Integrations page.
Microsoft Teams	Permission to add apps to a team. If your organization restricts app installation, an IT administrator approves the app first.
Scope	One Microsoft Entra organization connects to one Masthead account. Within that organization you can connect as many teams as you need.

Install and connect the app

1. Start from Masthead

   Open the Integrations page, select Microsoft Teams, and click Connect. Masthead opens the Masthead Data app page in the Microsoft Teams store.

2. Add the app to a team

   Click Add. If your organization requires administrator approval, Teams shows Request approval instead—send the request and continue after your administrator approves the app.

   Teams then shows the Added successfully dialog. Under Or choose a place to use the app, select a channel from the list and click Go. The app joins the team that owns the selected channel and posts its setup message there.

3. Complete the setup

   In the Connect Masthead Data to your organization card, click Complete setup. The link opens Masthead and connects your Microsoft Entra organization to your Masthead account.

4. Setup a notification channel

   Every connected team gets its own settings block on the Masthead integration page. Select a Channel, notification settings and click Save.

Tip

The setup card goes to the channel you pick during installation. If you lose it, remove the app from the team and add it again—the app posts a new card.

Connect additional Teams

The connection belongs to your Microsoft Entra organization, not to a single team. Add the app to any other team the same way, or from Teams directly by selecting Manage team > Apps > More apps, and searching for Masthead Data.

Every added team appears on the Masthead integration page with its own settings block and its own notification channel. You don’t need any additional setup.

Manage the integration

Pause the organization	Disconnect on the organization block in Masthead	Every team stops receiving alerts. The app stays installed in Teams. Connect restores all teams and their settings.
Remove one team	Remove the app from that team in Teams	The team disappears from Masthead. Its channel settings return if you add the app to that team again.
Remove the integration	Remove the app from every team in Teams	The organization disconnects from Masthead.
